What to expect: 

Milonga Futuro is an all-alternative music milonga, which means that traditional music won't be played unless our DJ decides to do so for our cortinas. We are always themed, which will be posted monthly on our Facebook and Instagram, the Tango Colorado community calendar, and on the Events tab on this site. There will be a lesson every month, but that lesson isn't necessarily going to be Tango, so check the event post! Water is a guarantee, but snacks are not, so if you tend to get hungry, please bring some of your own!

Payment:

Currently we are accepting Venmo and Cash. The lesson is $10 and the milonga is $20. If you are a current student, please let us know at the door, there is a 50% student discount. If for any reason these prices seem too much for you, we have volunteer slots available as an alternative form of payment.

Policies:

As with all productions by Tango Futuro, we are guided by both the Tango Futuro Safer Spaces Policy, the Tango Futuro Operations Policy and the Tango Futuro Volunteer Policy. Full versions can be found on the "About" tab on this site. The shorthand version of the policies are that we strive to create a space where people can feel safe and comfortable and will be treated fairly by our organization.

Philosophy:

Milonga Futuro was created as an effort to breathe new life into the tango community of Denver by making a milonga that is more accessible to more people. We believe tango is not only to be danced seriously, but also playfully, whimsically, and non-exclusively. If we see people laughing and pulling some moves in from other dances, we are succeeding.
